This video took a conceptual idea provided by Ora Stearns Smith and developed into a woman walking, while negative words surround her… then, like God’s revelation she is transformed.. and color comes in as postive affirmations swirl around her. Production time was approximately 2 days.

Bizgreet.com is a video greeting platform for customers to market their campaigns or products to their customers in a personal way. With each video link sent out… a customer recieves a personal video greeting as well as a promotional video and a personal thank you from the vendor. BizGreet allows for tracking your campaigns progress.

The company came to us to design this site and application. We were able to meet their needs and provide the application process to their specifications.

Videos can be useful in your website production for the particular application of explaining information. techniques, and ideas that others would not read… however, there is very little search engine value in a video unless you remember to include a descrition of the video’s content in your alt tags. Video marketing can be done by also uploading the videos to other market places such as You Tube. This way people that are looking for specifics can find the video then come to your website for more information. Recently we worked on a project with Good Goliath marketing company out of Austin, Texas. Their application can be seen at http://bizgreet.com. They use custom videos as greetings for their customers marketing campaigns. Brilliant. Definitely set your sites goals to include video but don’t overload your pages wil slow video… you will lose visitors. Always in moderation… always. Thanks.

There are so many different platforms available. Drupal, Joomla, Xoops and Wordpress to mention just a few. I’ve tried many. In the constant quest for a working, stable, and fun content management system (CMS), I’ve built entire sites only to find out it wasn’t what i thought or that it’s functionality really didnt meet my needs. I have however found in the last couple of years the environment of Wordpress to be extremely stable and friendly… not to mention versatile. To us who program in php, the advantages are so many. The plathora of plugins available are enormous. I like particularly the ability to configure posting to be done through a simple live writer interface or through email. I have configured sites to accept mu;ltiple email addresses for posting to different categories. I have been able to develop some plugins as well when i couldn’t find what i was looking for. Also, there are so many developers for Wordpress that almost any question has been asked and the answers are out there. So if you don’t even know what you are doing you can find out how to do it. This is an awesome plus. I encourage you to check out Wordpress at http://wordpress.org and play with its features. This is a blog designed to inform others on web design technology. Recently, with new technology, we can develop extensive custom applications and plug them into a web design core. For example, the wordpress core allows for easy customization of templating and design that allows business’ and individuals the luxury of a comprehensive CMS (Content Management System) without having to re-invent the wheel. The site can be designed and customized relatively easy. Then any custom applications for the site can be developed as a plugin to the core. This allows programmers to spend the time on the application and less time on the intricate design of a CMS. No need to worry about how users or individual site managers will interface with the site admin because it is already tried and tested and appears to be very stable. My recommendations are to develop your site in this platform and then spend the time on the integration of you applications as plugins.
